The story
THEESatisfaction were a Seattle duo: Stasia Irons and Catherine Harris-White, who also goes by SassyBlack. They wrote, produced and performed their own material, and Sub Pop pitched the sound as funk-psychedelic feminista sci-fi epics. A mouthful, and pretty accurate. They turned heads guesting on Shabazz Palaces' 2011 album Black Up, signed to Sub Pop that same year and dropped their debut full-length, awE naturalE, on March 27, 2012. Sweat is track seven.
This clip isn't from the band or the label. It went up in November 2015 on a channel called ЮR, labeled as an ЮR video, with no description and no credits, so we can't tell you who cut it or what's in it. The duo called it quits in 2016 so the two of them could rest and grow on their own. Eight years together and a sound nobody else in Seattle was making.
