The story
Cincinnati's Foxy Shazam play glam rock with the volume and the theatrics turned all the way up, fronted by singer Eric Nally. Holy Touch comes from The Church of Rock and Roll, their fourth album, produced by Justin Hawkins and released on I.R.S. Records in January 2012. The single followed that May, climbed to number 34 on the US Active Rock chart, and hometown paper CityBeat called it the band's most Queen-like track yet.
The band headed to Los Angeles to shoot the video with director Shane Valdes, and it debuted on Vevo in July 2012. It starts out as an ordinary flight on a small plane and turns into a free-for-all: a sleazy pilot, a flight attendant pulling double duty as co-pilot, bizarre characters, hard liquor and skydiving with no parachutes, all cut with the band tearing through the song. Jake Busey and Paula Jai Parker are in the cast. Loudwire compared it to Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas with a small plane standing in for the pink Cadillac. Seatbelts optional. Parachutes too.
