The story

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets come from Perth, Western Australia, and they say they picked the name at random because it made them laugh. Fair enough. They play loud, colorful psych rock out of the same Aussie scene as Tame Impala and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, and they tour like the van is on fire.

Dezi's Adventure is the soft landing at the end of their 2019 album And Now For The Whatchamacallit, which was recorded partly in singer Jack McEwan's bedroom. After a whole record of fairground chaos, this one slows way down: a Beatles-flavored drift that ebbs and flows, about a young guy finding a new, wide-eyed way to look at his life.

Mike Wyatt of Attack Animation drew the video, and it matches the mood. A strange spaceman-spider creature wanders a cosmic world painted in every color the crayon box ever sold. Trippy without being scary. A cartoon built for staring at the ceiling.
