The story

Lorde said yes to this one ages before it came out, and good on her. Foil is Weird Al's take on Royals, sung in her sultry croon, and it starts as a sincere love letter to aluminum foil and your leftovers. Then the second verse takes a hard left into the Illuminati, the New World Order and fake Moon landings, and ends with Al in a tin foil hat.

The video, made with CollegeHumor, puts Al on the set of a cooking show called Now We're Cookin'!, with three backup singers in silver. Patton Oswalt plays the show's director, watching in horror as the segment turns into stock footage of the all-seeing eye, mushroom clouds and riot police. Tom Lennon and Robert Ben Garant show up as men in black, drug Al and drag him off. Then Oswalt peels off his face to reveal a lizard person. It was one of eight videos Al dropped on eight straight days for Mandatory Fun, and the biggest of the bunch, with 11 million views in five days.
