1.“Saved 31 mutants, 3 fish, 1 dog. Ate 7 slices of pizza, moonwalked, gave a kid a new hairstyle, saved a girl from being kissed, nailed a dart – all in under 3 seconds. AND NO ONE THANKED HIM.”

The story
Same trick, bigger house. X-Men: Apocalypse is set in 1983, and in this scene Alex Summers – Havok – tries to stop Apocalypse's crew from taking Professor Xavier and sets off a blast that tears through Xavier's school. In walks Peter Maximoff, Quicksilver (Evan Peters), who has just learned Magneto is his father. Time slows to a crawl. He gets everybody out except Alex, who was closest to the blast.
He also takes his sweet time doing it, to Eurythmics' Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), a 1983 number one that matches the movie's year. He scoops goldfish into a vase, sips a soda floating in midair and saves a dog that's busy eating pizza (and keeps eating once it's outside). Students drift out of the building one by one while the fireball crawls along behind them.
Bryan Singer said a lot more of it is real than you'd think. The crew sent Phantom cameras in protective cases through actual explosions, shooting at 3,000 frames per second and sometimes moving the camera at up to 90 mph to keep pace. At that rate a blink lasts about 15 seconds. Two minutes of screen time took around a month and a half to shoot, and Peters spent 17 days on it. Rising Sun Pictures in Adelaide built the effects, and Singer's French bulldog got scanned for one shot.
This copy is the Italian dub, by the way. Doesn't matter. The synths do the talking.
