The story

This one isn't a music video. It's a highlight reel. Sam Kolder is a filmmaker who travels the world shooting travel and lifestyle work, known for slick transitions he spends hours on to get a few seconds right. He fell in love with filmmaking as a kid at camp, shooting in-camera tricks with his brother, and later spent about a year on and off filming with The Chainsmokers. In late 2019 he cut his favorite drone shots from over the years into one three-minute reel.

The soundtrack is Jain's Makeba, the French singer's tribute to Miriam Makeba. Fstoppers called it an incredible compilation of drone shots from all over the globe and gave him credit for skipping the sponsored-content style most travel influencers lean on. Three minutes of planet, set to one of the happiest songs of the decade.
