1.“Flume is only 22, but he's so talented and famous already. When I'm 22, I'll probably be in my parents' basement, rolling around despairingly in student loans.”

The story
Before Flume blew up, he was a young Sydney producer who had just been discovered through a talent competition in 2011. Anna Lunoe was a Sydney DJ and singer on her way to Los Angeles. I Met You is their 2012 team-up on the Future Classic label: Lunoe's vocals floating over a smooth tech-house groove made for late nights.
Director Melvin J. Montalban shot the video over two days on the Lunoe family's property in rural New South Wales, on a tiny budget with donated time and gear. He and cinematographer Tania Lambert went handheld on a Red Epic, catching the two of them by a river, on a hillside, in the forest and out in a paddock. Then the mirrors came out. Montalban spent about a month and a half in the edit folding the footage into kaleidoscopes of water, horses and faces, and on Lambert's advice he pushed the effect much further than his first cut.
No story, no plot. Just two friends in the country, turned into a moving Rorschach test.
