The story

This one is fan-made, not official. Nufonic, a remixer who posts on YouTube, Vimeo and Facebook, uploaded it in 2017 as a mashup: two tracks from two very different corners of the synth-and-studio world, stitched into one called Sentinel Of Love.

Half of it is Mike Oldfield's Sentinel, the opener of Tubular Bells II from 1992. That piece reworks the intro theme of his 1973 Tubular Bells, the music most people know from The Exorcist, and the single went to number 10 in the UK. Trevor Horn co-produced it. The other half is Vangelis's The Tao of Love, from his 1979 album China.

Prog-rock bells meet Greek synth mist.
