The story
Polo & Pan are Paul Armand-Delille and Alexandre Grynszpan, a French electronic duo who sing in their own language and build songs out of samples, bird calls and real instruments. Pays Imaginaire comes from their debut album Caravelle and borrows from Debussy's Clair de Lune. The title means imaginary land, which is what the French call Neverland.
This is an unofficial video, cut together by Clovis Lamour and Joris Pronost and posted by the duo's label on Valentine's Day 2018. Numéro magazine described a dreamlike trip aboard Peter Pan's ship to the place where kids never grow up, with nods to Mary Poppins, Peau d'âne, The Wizard of Oz and Sleeping Beauty, plus sirens, robots and a women's choir along for the ride. A French club duo, a little Debussy and a boy who refused to grow up. Makes sense to me.
